Happy Pi Day.

It’s Pi Day, and aspiring geeks everywhere rejoice.

Pi, Greek letter (π), is the symbol for the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Pi Day is celebrated by math enthusiasts around the world on March 14th. Pi = 3.1415926535…

With the use of computers, Pi has been calculated to over 1 trillion digits past the decimal. Pi is an irrational and transcendental number meaning it will continue infinitely without repeating.

The Palace hereby proclaims solidarity with all those who celebrate Pi Day, and proudly joins with others worldwide in the ritual of eating pie of the pizza and/or fruit varieties.  Even though we pretty much do that every day anyway, and we were really kind of jonesing for a stir fry tonight.

I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait until March 14, 2015 at 9:26 AM.  I just know it is going to be freaking awesome.
